For...Blender Tools
I’m a Blender 3D hobbyist, and being a software developer as well, I’ve developed some useful add-ons for Blender to help me along my way. If you’re a Blender user, you might find that some of these addons scratch an itch or make life a bit easier.
Edit Collection Addon
This addon allows you to quickly “drill down” into collection instances, so you can make tweaks and edits without having to find the source collection yourself.
Asset Catalog Installer
A script that you can paste into your asset distributions to allow users to install them and set up categorization.
Plaidiator
Create procedural plaid and tartan patterns using a layering stripe-based approach.
Tell Me Why
Experimental, in development. An addon that lets you replace opaque node values with mathematical expressions and explanations, so you can remember what exactly why you set that value to “2.175” when you come back in a year.
Mark Sharps / Apply Auto Smoothing
Transition your files out of Blender 3.x/4.1 by applying “auto-smoothing” as per-edge sharp/smooth settings.
But that’s not all!
